This Privacy Policy governs the collection, processing, storage, and disclosure of personal data across all TechTelligence digital properties — including our main website, sub-platforms (TechTelligence Academy, EDU AI VERIFY, K-12 AI Policy, GenAI for Business, and STEM & Robotics), and any related services (collectively, "Services").

We are committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL), the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and all other applicable data protection regulations in the jurisdictions in which we operate.

By accessing or using our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Services immediately.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you interact with our Services, you may voluntarily provide: full name and professional title; business email address and phone number; organisation name, type, and country; role (educator, administrator, enterprise leader, student); programme enquiries and service preferences; form submissions, messages, and consultation requests; newsletter subscription preferences; and any other information you choose to share with us.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our digital properties, we automatically collect: IP address and approximate geolocation (country/city level); browser type, version, and device type; operating system and screen resolution; referring URLs and exit pages; pages visited, time on page, and clickstream data; session identifiers and interaction timestamps; and performance metrics related to page load and user experience.

2.3 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use first-party and third-party cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies for session management, preference storage, analytics, and marketing attribution. See Section 6 for our full Cookie Policy. You may manage cookie preferences at any time via our Cookie Consent banner or browser settings.

2.4 Data from Third Parties

We may receive personal data from business partners, referral networks, event sponsors, LinkedIn and other social platforms (when you authenticate or interact via these channels), and publicly available professional directories — solely to deliver or improve our Services.

2.5 Sensitive Data

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as health, financial, biometric, or religious data). If you voluntarily submit such information, you consent to its processing for the purpose of your request only. We will delete it once the purpose is fulfilled.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your personal data only for the following lawful purposes:

  • Service Delivery — to respond to enquiries, onboard clients, deliver programmes (AI training, workshops, policy advisory, EdTech design), and fulfil contracted obligations.
  • Account & Platform Management — to create, authenticate, and maintain user accounts on our platforms.
  • Marketing & Communications — to send newsletters, programme updates, event invitations, and relevant industry insights, where you have opted in or where legitimate interest applies.
  • Analytics & Product Improvement — to understand how our Services are used and to improve performance, content, and user experience.
  • Legal & Compliance — to fulfil regulatory obligations, respond to lawful requests, and protect our rights and those of third parties.
  • Security — to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised activity.
  • Research — to conduct anonymised, aggregated research on AI adoption trends in education and enterprise across the MENA region.

We rely on the following legal bases for processing: your consent (where obtained); performance of a contract to which you are a party; compliance with a legal obligation; legitimate interests pursued by TechTelligence, provided they are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

TechTelligence does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers — trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating our platforms (hosting, email delivery, analytics, CRM, payment processing). All processors are bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) that require equivalent data protection standards.
  • Ecosystem Partners — where you have explicitly enrolled in or interacted with a specific TechTelligence platform (e.g., TechTelligence Academy), relevant data may be shared with that platform's operational team.
  • Professional Advisors — legal counsel, auditors, and insurers, bound by professional confidentiality obligations.
  • Regulatory & Legal Authorities — when required by UAE law, a court order, or an equivalent lawful authority in a relevant jurisdiction.
  • Business Transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or restructuring, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
  • With Your Consent — for any other purpose with your explicit, informed consent.

5. International Data Transfers

As a company headquartered in the UAE and operating across MENA and Africa, your data may be processed in or transferred to countries outside your country of residence. Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the relevant data protection authority.
  • Adequacy decisions issued by the UAE Data Office or the European Commission.
  • Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs) where applicable.
  • Your explicit consent for specific transfers.

Where data is transferred to countries without an adequacy decision, we implement additional technical and organisational safeguards (including encryption in transit and at rest) to protect your information.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly Necessary — essential for the operation of our website and platforms. Cannot be disabled.
  • Performance & Analytics — help us understand how visitors interact with our Services (e.g., Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled).
  • Functional — remember your preferences (language, theme, region) to personalise your experience.
  • Marketing & Targeting — used to deliver relevant content and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. Only activated with your consent.

You may withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer or adjusting your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality. For further detail, see our full Cookie Policy (linked separately in the footer).

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Policy, or as required by applicable law. Our standard retention schedule:

  • Contact & enquiry records — 3 years from last interaction.
  • Client and contract records — 7 years from contract end (in line with UAE commercial record-keeping requirements).
  • Newsletter subscriber data — until unsubscription plus 1 year.
  • Website analytics data — 26 months (anonymised after 13 months).
  • Platform user accounts — for the duration of the account plus 2 years after closure.
  • FERPA-governed student educational records — as required by applicable institutional or regulatory policy.

Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised in accordance with our data destruction policy.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access — obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to Erasure — request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Right to Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to Data Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

  • Right Not to Be Subject to Automated Decisions — where applicable, request human review of automated decisions that significantly affect you.

To exercise any of these rights, submit a request to info@techtelligence.ae. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and respond substantively within 30 calendar days (extendable by a further 30 days for complex requests). Identity verification may be required before disclosure.

If you believe your rights have not been upheld, you may lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office (dataoffice.ae), the relevant GCC supervisory authority, or — for EU data subjects — your local Data Protection Authority.

9. Data Security

TechTelligence implements industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, or disclosure. Our security framework includes:

  • TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit.
  • AES-256 encryption for data at rest on our servers.
  • Role-based access controls (RBAC) and principle of least privilege.
  • Regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all internal administrative systems.
  • Vendor security due-diligence and contractual security requirements.
  • An incident response plan with defined breach notification timelines.

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, in accordance with applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy & FERPA

Our main website and marketing communications are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child without consent, please contact us immediately at info@techtelligence.ae and we will delete such data promptly.

For TechTelligence platforms deployed within K-12 school environments, we act as a data processor on behalf of the educational institution (the data controller). Student educational records are handled in accordance with FERPA, COPPA, UAE PDPL, and the applicable school district data governance policy. Schools and districts must have appropriate parental consent mechanisms in place before deploying our platforms to minors. We will not use student data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose beyond the agreed educational service.
